Brooklyn, a student at Gene A. Buinger Career & Technical Education Academy, Texas, joined Story Xperiential as part of an Animation class she was taking in 2024. She, along with others from her class, went through the eight step process to create unique and moving stories from ideation to storyreel. Her project "Echoes of Divinity" garnered her a Best Storyreel Peer Recognition Award and the December 2024 Grand Prize.

My Story Xperiential project "Echoes of Divinity" is about Lucia, a Seraphim Angel and Ezekiel, a Chaos Entity, who face conflict with tragedy and morality with their divine intervention. These characters are separated by unjust standards, but bound together to defy that very thing. They become close, but eventually their friendship and bond is tested by external factors, and they will see if their bond is truly as strong as they made it to be, despite their statuses and positions.

Lucia is kind and compassionate, and wants to change how celestial beings interact with each other. However, she struggles with putting duties before her desires, and what she believes to be right. What she needs to learn is that her emotions are not a weakness and she must stay true to herself and her morals and Ezekiel is the catalyst for this but ultimately she chooses her people over the person she cares about the most.

One of the main challenges I faced prior to being in the Story Xperiential program was being a perfectionist and, subsequently, my management. This last year, I was able to overcome it by going by the pacing that the program was putting me on, as well as making sure I didn't spend too much time on details such as artwork. Story Xperiential impacted me by reshaping my whole process of storytelling, and, for somebody who's very insecure about sharing my work, it also allowed me to be open to receiving criticism. Why you should consider joining Story Xperiential? Because even though you may think that your story has been told already, it has not been told from your unique point of view, and Story Xperiential is the best place to take that first step and share your story with the world.
